Snow Drawings, Rabbit Ears Pass, CO, Sunday Jan. 29, 2012
This large-scale Snow Drawing piece was created with the generous assistance of 5 volunteers from Steambaot Springs and Hayden, Colorado. The photos were taken during a flyover in local pilot Jack Dysart’s Cessna aircraft.

So beautiful!
4 of us went up to the pass yesterday to see the work and then took a snow shoe on the Walton Loop. We stopped in the meadows and made our own snow art – spirals, loops, question marks and zigzag trees.
I especially loved seeing the fresh work and then the older work that was being covered over by the wind. A true practice of Impermanence. Thank you for the inspiration!
That’s wonderful, Sonja! May I share your vimeo video on my blog (http://muveltkert.blogspot.com/) about gardening ethic? Eszter
yes, please feel free to share the video.I’m not sure which video you want to share, the one of the snow drawings was taken by Cedar Beauregard, so please credit him as the videographer , if you use that video. All other videos are mine.
Best,
Sonja
Thank you very much!

[…] This intrepid Colorado artist, with the help of several volunteers, took the old adage about lemons and lemonade and transformed it into snow and snow spiral art. The exceptional coordination and extremely temporary nature of the art make it even more inspired.
